Toyota Motor is exploring a potential buyout of its key supplier, Toyota Industries, in a deal reportedly valued at JP¥6tr (US$42bn). The proposal, led by Toyota Chairman Akio Toyoda and his founding family, would make Toyota Industries private through a special purpose company.
