One of the Rarest Air Jordan Collaborations of All Time Is Shockingly Getting a Re-Release

Ask any sneakerhead to name the greatest collabs ever, and the Undefeated x Air Jordan 4 will, no doubt, rank right near the top of the list.

These days, a new sneaker linkup gets unveiled every single week. But when this grail first dropped in 2005, it was unbelievably rare. In fact, this was actually the first Air Jordan collaboration ever. And with only 72 pairs made, many people lost out the first time round (and yes, many people cashed in on resale platforms).

Founded in 2002, Undefeated (or UNDFTD, for short) has become an institution in the world of streetwear. Founded in LA, the landmark sneaker boutique eventually opened flagship stores internationally, including two in Japan and three in China. For its AJ4, the brand was inspired by the iconic MA-1 flight jacket. The upper is decked out in ‘Deep Green’ nubuck, while orange ‘Clementine’ accents hit the leather tongue. And just like a classic MA-1, the tag on the tongue is actually a velcro patch, which is a pretty sweet detail.
