Jane Lauder intends to support the company’s “transformational change” as an advisor throughout the fiscal year. She spent 28 years at ELC serving in multiple leadership roles, including serving as Global Brand President for Clinique, Darphin, Ojon, and Origins.
She is credited with expanding Clinique’s digital sales and she launched the Clinique Clinical Reality diagnostic tool. At Origins, Jane Lauder led the development for the Plantscription and Ginzing product lines.
Jane Lauder was appointed Chief Data Officer and Executive Vice President of Enterprise Marketing in 2020.
Since then, she has accelerated innovation strategies, including the deployment of AI and ground-breaking technology tools. These tools have advanced gathering and application methods for consumer insights, trends, and high-touch experiences.

Leading ELC’s AI Strategies
Currently, Jane Lauder leads ELC’s artificial intelligence task force—and has been instrumental in defining and deploying the company’s global AI strategies in support of enterprise operations and consumer outreach.
She also champions ELC’s gender equity strategy and serves as the executive chair of the company’s global women in leadership efforts.
This announcement follows CEO Fabrizio Freda’s intention to retire at the end of next year. Jane Lauder and Stéphane de La Faverie were the top contenders for CEO. With Jane Lauder’s upcoming resignation, La Faverie is the top internal candidate for the position.
