Elkann pours cold water on Stellantis-Renault merger rumours

While a merger may not be on the cards, the two automakers are teaming up to push the EU to reassess its regulations on EVs. By Stewart Burnett

Stellantis Chairman John Elkann has denied rumours of merger discussions with Renault during the recent FT Future of the Car Summit in London. Renault Chief Executive Luca de Meo also dismissed the reports, with both automakers previously labelling them as speculation back in October 2024.
